Hermeneutic Chaos has always promoted a thriving community of diverse writers with different aesthetic priorities through its journal and press, and now we wish to add the same excitement to our masthead!

We are currently accepting applications for the following positions:
CHAPBOOK EDITOR – HERMENEUTIC CHAOS PRESS
Role: With the editor-in-chief, will read submissions during our annual reading periods/contests, contribute ideas for anthologies, take decisions and send out response letters. The editor is also required to engage in the pre-publication process of the chapbooks and anthologies (Est. commitment : 1-3 hrs per week, with additional work during the reading period).
CHAPBOOK READER – HERMENEUTIC CHAOS PRESS
Role: Evaluate the submitted manuscripts carefully in a timely manner and vote for them. The readers are also encouraged to offer editorial comments to elaborate their decisions (Est. commitment – 2-4 per week during the reading period)
LAYOUT AND DESIGN EDITOR – HERMENEUTIC CHAOS PRESS
Role : Responsible for the overall appearance of the print chapbooks and anthologies, solicit artwork, produce pdf galleys for proofreading, prepare the final print version in a timely manner. The editor is encouraged to learn the various nuances of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. (Est. commitment – 1-2 hours per week)
